Successful tenders

Friday, November 06, 2009

Two receivers sales in Moama have been finalised this week, Charles L King and Co First National managing director Gary Wood has reported.

Echuca-Moama Resort was sold to a metropolitan group who plan to re-open the resort within the next few weeks.

Prospective buyers came from as far as Perth and a syndicate of Chinese business people also inspected the property during the advertising campaign.

The resort is on the banks of the Murray River and has eight well-appointed units and a manager's residence.

``Nine tenders were received for the property but I cannot comment on the eventual sales price,'' Mr Wood said.

The 35.6ha Murray River property in Boundary Rd has also been sold by tender.

``The interest in the property was outstanding with some eight tenders received,'' Mr Wood said.

``A local group were the successful buyers.

``The local real estate market in the past couple of months has picked up dramatically, with Charles L King and Co First National's auction results similar to a couple of years ago.

``We sold three auctions on the weekend, with all exceeding their reserve prices.'' he said.
