Misconception about boost

The First-Home Owners Grant (FHOG) boost has not ended yet, but will be phased out.

The correct schedule for the boost is:

from October to December 2009, the FHOG, including the boost, will be reduced from $14,000 to $10,500 for established homes and from $21,000 to $14,000 for newly-constructed homes; and

from January 1, 2010, the FHOG will return to the $7,000 previously provided to first-home buyers of new and established housing, before the implementation of the boost.
